LENDING LIBRARY RULES

The SWFBA lending library has been a very popular feature of our organization. Many of our members have used it to learn new instruments or improve their expertise on the ones they already play. In order to make it available to as many people as possible we started the program with low fees and with no specified time for the materials to be returned. Unfortunately, we have had some materials that have been kept our for expended periods of time and will possible never be returned.

Some of the items were checked out to people who weren’t SWFBA members and we have no way of contacting them. Because of these problems it has become necessary to change the rules for the library. The following rules have been put in place for the loaned materials. As you can see, this is still a free program for our members if the items are returned in a reasonable time frame. If you should have materials that you have checked out and forgotten to return, please return them so that others can use them.

* Only SWFBA Members can use the library. Please be prepared to show the volunteer librarian a current membership card.

* New items cannot be checked out until other borrowed items are returned.

* The maximum loan time is 2 months. A $2.00 a month late fee per item will be assessed for late items.

**The following deposit amounts will be collected: Video tapes: $20, Books: $10, CDs/DVDs: $20, Books with CDs: $20
